WILLIAM WINTON
William Winton is an American born songwriter, producer, bassist, vocalist and performer. He started his fascination with music by watching bar bands as a kid with his parents until eventually stealing his father's acoustic when he was 13. By 16, he was a full-fledged bass player, influenced by bassists like Steve Harris and Cliff Burton. Will studied Music Performance and History of Rock and Roll in college and formed his own small record label in 2013, Dock Watch Hollow Entertainment.
Will has been in, quit, joined, got fired from, filIed in for, and built many bands since 2002. Most notably, as a founding member of THANATOTIC DESIRE, which formed in 2008, Will takes the lead as vocalist and bass player.
THANATOTIC DESIRE has opened for some top metal bands such as ANTHRAX, CANNIBAL CORPSE, HAVOK, MOTORHEAD, SLAYER, SLIPNOT, The BLACK DAHLIA MURDER ... and toured with BATTLECROSS, MOBILE DEATHCAMP and WHIPLASH.
With THANATOTIC DESIRE, Winton opened for WHIPLASH at gigs in California, including the Whisky a Go Go; New Jersey, where both bands originate from; and Osaka, Japan, at True Thrash Fest.
Will was on deck as crew for Whiplash on the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise, and is featured on bass thrashing with WHIPLASH throughout Europe and on the MTV Headbangers Ball Tour in 2022.
